URBAN ECOLOGY

The CWC facilitates field trips to urban, suburban, and rural conservation sites for 5th & 6th graders. We also work with high school environmental clubs for projects, plantings, and clean-ups

We firmly believe that fostering watershed education in tomorrow’s leaders is essential in creating a community that values and stewards our natural resources. We work with teachers and administrators in local schools to conduct youth watershed education programs at the elementary and high school levels. Our Youth Education Program serves over 1500 students annually.

FRESHWATER SNORKELING

In collaboration with area middle & high schools & community groups, CWC offers no-cost snorkeling sessions at the end of Spring, through in to early Fall

SALMON WATCH

Students have the opportunity to participate in free fall field trips to a number of select locations where Chinook salmon can be observed spawning in the wild

SPLASHY SCIENCE

In partnership with the Albany Public Library, the Education program hosts a series of environmental science days over the summer

OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES

Through agency partnerships, we lead regular hiking excursions for underserved youth
