Out-of-School Days Hikes
The CWC has partnered with this important local organization for several years; providing hikes and outdoor activities throughout the year for its residential youth.

High School Environmental Clubs
CWC works with dedicated high school students to support their missions and goals. Activities include habitat restoration plantings, school garden building, attending Hatfield Marine Science Day at the coast, and clean-ups.

Splashy Science
As part of an annual Summer program with the library, families can take part in one of several activities; meet a tree, aquatic macroinvertebrate hunt, owl pellet dissection, nature art, or a combination of two or more of these activities. The children spend about 1.5 hours exploring the natural areas of Bryant Park, learning how to engage with the natural world in new ways
LOCAL TRIBES & MIGRANT FAMILIES
Empowerment & Leadership for Youth and Young Adults (ELY)
As part of the ELY program, youths from migrant families participate in snorkeling sessions as part of an Oregon State University Fisheries & Wildlife program. We offer an additional snorkeling experience as part of the OSU Camp for Tribal Youth with participation from Tribal Mentors from Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.
